I went to the Stake RS Enrichment Meeting this morning. It was very uplifting and well put together!
One of the members of the Stake RS Presidency spoke about something that made me think....I never thought of it that way! Do you ever have those moments? She described the scriptures like letters from our Heavenly Father. She said "lets say that one of your parents had suddenly passed away and they had left a letter or two for you. Would you choose not to open it and read because you thought you knew everything that that parent wanted you to know? If you were to open and read it, wouldn't that make you feel closer to that person? The scripturs are just like that. When we not only read the bible but the Book of Mormon as well it makes us feel closer to our Heavenly Father." Our Heavenly Father loves us so much and knew that we would need more than what is in the bible. Especially in these latter days. I feel so blessed to be living in these days where the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored.
I really liked that and thought it was a good analogy. The picture above is of a few of the sisters I sat with from my ward. In order from left to right is Janay, Rachel and April.

It is aways hard to find the time go to another meeting, but every time we do it seems there is something there especially for us! I always try to go to the meetings that are planned for us just for that reason. It may be a little selfish, but I can use all the help I can get!
