Ok, those of you who know me know what a book worm I can be LOL. I have decided that I am going to write reviews on the books that I read.
Today I just finished another Anita Stansfield book called "In Search of Heaven"
I have learned so many times not to judge a book by its cover! I had been putting off reading this one till the very end of the stack of books I had because it didn't look as good as the others. :-\
I have to say that I have not read one of her books I have not liked or loved. Anita has a gift of being able to pull you into her stories like no other! She makes her characters so real in real situations and problems and life and love and she adds true gospel principles in her books.
This one definately has all the above in it and much more. Eleanore finds a book that unknow to her is the Book of Mormon in the early 1800's in England and after reading it and coming to know the truthfulness of its teachings decides she is going to do whatever it takes and no matter how long it would take her to find this new religion and because of her willingness to know of the truth is lead to the love of her life and an adventure of a lifetime.
This book also made me realize just how much we take the gospel for granted. I have been truly blessed to have been born into the covenant but have not once cherrished the Book of Mormon as Eleanore does in this book. After reading this book I am going to set a goal to start reading the BOM again and this time I'm going to take the time to actually study it and try to apply the teachings in my life. (I'm really embarrassed to admit that I haven't done this! I've read it before but never really studied it) This book really makes me want to do just that and has reminded me that along with the Bible it is truly a gift from God!

I have been reading the BOM the last few weeks with a specific purpose in mind for a class I am taking. I cannot believe how certaing things just jump out when you are in a focused frame of mind. This is an amazing book, and it has certainly blessed my life. I hope you thoroughly enjoy your study.
Thank you Karla! I love reading books that inspire me to be better and to do things that are right. That is what Anita Stansfields books do for me :-)
